To celebrate Corvette Racing's past victories and success at Le Mans, Chevrolet introduced the Commemorative Editon in 2004, marking the end of a chapter for the C5 era. This edition brought not only aesthetic changes but real performance and technology upgrades to the Z06. The spotless LeMans Blue color with the aditonal exterior graphics really make this Z06 stand out amongst others and shows what has made this edition so desired over the years. The exterior graphic design, which was of course inspired by Le Mans, includes silver stripes with red edges and carbon fiber exposed. The hood introduces a reconstructed model made out of carbon fiber material layed in single-direction fibers, intended to eliminate waviness, which makes it significantly lighter than the standard unit. The 2004 ZO6 Commemorative Edition also received some performance enhancements to highlight the differences of this edition, which were quite significant in the vehicle's overall performance. One of the most notable refinements would most likely be the specific chassis tuning upgrades. Engineers have refined the 04 Z06's shock damping characteristics to provide improved handling, while still maintaining a smooth ride for drivers and passengers. Pushing out 405 Horsepower, make no mistake the Z06 will not fail to impress you with its driving performance. The 5.7 Liter V8 Engine combined with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission, makes driving this vehicle feel like paradise and a car collector's dream ride.
